The Tenant Fees Act 2019 has been in effect for several years, placing clear restrictions on the fees that landlords and lettings agents can charge tenants. To support continued compliance, The Guidance Note: Tenant Fees Act 2019 (England) has been updated offering clearer insights, best practices and key information to help landlords and lettings agents stay aligned with the legal requirements.
In addition two new documents have been introduced into the Property Folder, The Tenant Fees Act 2019 (England) Matrix offers a clear overview of payments permitted under the Act. The Deed of Surrender (Residential Tenancy) is a legal agreement that allows for landlords and tenants to mutually end a residential tenancy.
