If the employer's employees are likely to be exposed to lead, he must assess the risks and limit these by the following means:

• effective control of exposure;
• personal protective equipment;
• instruction, information and training for employees;
• provision of washing, changing and storage facilities;
• air monitoring;
• health surveillance.
